Fed Ex Cessna Caravan

Federal Express operates over 250 Cessna 208 "Fed Ex Feeders." The Cessna 208 is a fixed gear turbo airliner that can be used to transport up to 14 passengers or cargo. Dustin and I spotted this aircraft at the 2011 Las Vegas Air Show hosted at Nellis Air Force Base in 2011. The aircraft was located towards the main entrance of the air show. We both have a lot of interest in aviation. I hold my private pilot certificate however, I have been inactive for several years now. We both want to get back into flying recreationally when the finances and time allows. This Cessna grabbed our attention as soon as we were dropped off by a transport bus at Nellis. There is a special interest for Cessna manufactured aircraft because I was trained on a Cessna 172.

West Air, Inc specializes in flying cargo aircraft specifically for FedEx. West Air is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their maintenance bays where the aircraft are inspected/repaired are located in Fresno, California. West Air supports cargo drops between SMF(Sacramento County), OAK(Oakland International), ONT(Ontario, California), SAN(San Diego), and LAS(Las Vegas).
